DUI checkpoint this Saturday night in South Natomas area, Sacramento
Beware, the Sacramento Police Department will be out looking for drunk drivers Saturday night in Natomas.
The checkpoint will be at Truxel Road near Bannon Creek Dr. starting at 7:30 pm and will last 5 to 7 hours.
A first offense DUI in Sacramento carries with it 3 years of informal probation, completion of a 3 month DUI class costing $675, suspension of your driving privilege, and a couple of days of sheriff's work project, not to mention an interlock device that you must blow into every time you start the car.
DUI checkpoint cases offer a number of defenses not available in the standard, “run of the mill” case where the driver is usually pulled over after an officer has observed some violation.
I have successfully challenged and beat roadblock cases by challenging them in a suppression hearing. If you are arrested call 1-877-DUI-JOHN! Under California DUI laws, you will face jail time and license suspension even for a first offense. That is why it is simportant for you to contact a qualified Sacramento DUI attorney immediately.
